Our History
Tri-Town Council has its beginnings in the late 1960s, when a group of parents, students and concerned citizens from the tri-town communities formed a grassroots organization called the “Tri-Town Council on Drugs” to address the issue of youth drug and alcohol abuse. This group hired a director and incorporated the “Tri-Town Council”.
During the 1970s and 1980s, TTC developed a working relationship with Masconomet Regional School District to provide school-based mental health programs such as crisis intervention, special needs counseling, and peer education.
Today, the Tri-Town Council still offers school-based counseling as well as many educational prograworkshops to the students and parents of kindergarten throught grade 12. Our funding comes through the towns of Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton, the Masconomet school budget, private donations, and grants.
