Our History
Tri-Town Council has its beginnings in the late 1960s, when a group of parents, students and concerned citizens from the tri-town communities formed a grassroots organization called the “Tri-Town Council on Drugs” to address the issue of youth drug and alcohol abuse. This group hired a director and incorporated the “Tri-Town Council”.
From 1970s through 2010, TTC developed a working relationship with Masconomet Regional School District to provide school-based mental health programs such as crisis intervention, special needs counseling, and peer education.
Today, the Tri-Town Council does not offer school-based counseling any longer, but does offer many educational programs and workshops to the students and parents of kindergarten through grade 12. Our funding comes through the towns of Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton, private donations, and grants.
