January 25, 2010  “The Bullying Dynamic” by Stephanie Meegan. Tri-Town Elementary School Professional Development Day offered this key note speaker on bullying as well as providing several smaller hands-on workshops for the Tri-Town elementary faculty and staff.

Nov. 30 - Dec. 21, 2009 Mondays 6:30-8:30pm Girl Talk  This program bring girls together (ages 11 and 12, in the 5th and 6th grade) with their mother or another special woman, in a series of workshops designed to increase and nurture positive communication about growth and development. More info.

November 20, 2009 Friday Evening, 6pm-6am.  Masco Dance Marathon. Each high school class participates by dance all-night long to raise money for their class and the Tri-Town Council. Masconomet students who are not dancing, can attend the Dance Marathon in the evening from 7-10pm and support their classmates.

November 5, 2009 7:00pm *FEATURED SPEAKER* Anthony E. Wolf Ph.D., Get Out of My Life, but first could you drive me and Cheryl to the mall? Dr. Wolf will focus on the challenges of adolescence and the teenage years. Best known both in his writing and his speaking for his, at times very funny, non-judgmental ability to describe what actually goes on in real people's homes with real children, his original perspective on parenting and on kids today, and for his practical and very helpful advice. Anthony E. Wolf Ph.D., a practicing child psychologist, speaker and author of many parenting books including the bestselling, Get Out of My Life, but first could you drive me and Cheryl to the Mall? A Parent's guide to the New Teenager, which has sold over 500,000 copies and is considered to be the most widely acclaimed “how to deal with your teenager book”. This presentation is intended for parents and educators of teens and pre-teens. Presentation to be held at the Masconomet Regional Auditorium.

Fall 2009 Strengthening Social Skills; Fall Workshop Series. Join author/educator Stephanie Meegan in a four part series of workshops designed for parents, guardians and educators interested in expanding children's social competence and confidence.

September 29, 2009 “ Understanding the Online Social World of Teens and Pre-Teens”, presented by Dr. Elizabeth Englander. Dr. Englander will focus on bringing parents up-to-date with the most recent trends and give parents concrete, hands-on techniques to help their children and to work effectively with local schools to reduce bullying, cyber bullying, and to increase online safety. Dr. Elizabeth Englander, Director of the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction center (M.A.R.C.) at Bridgewater State College and nationally recognized speaker on the topics of internet safety, cyber bullying and violence prevention will address parents, guardians and educators of 5-12 grade students of the Masconomet Regional School. Summer 2009  Boxford Summer Park Program.  Have your child have fun with their friends this summer, while doing art and crafts, sports, etc. This program is for children entering kindergarten through Grade 7. The Boxford Summer Park Program begins July 7th and runs for 5 weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 10am-12 noon at the Cole School Fields.

May 4, 2009  Tri-Town Health & Wellness Fair.  In conjunction with the Tri-Town Wellness Committees & Masco School Health Advisory Council, join us for an informative and fun event focusing on physical, social and emotional health and well-being. More info ...

June 5, 2009  All-Night After Graduation Party   
Masco seniors get a safe send off by enjoying an entire evening of activities! The evening begins immediately after graduation and continues through 7:00am the next morning.  In past years, some of the evening’s events have included sports clubs, comedy clubs, bowling, moonlight cruise, and much more! This is an event not to be missed!

March 26, 2009  Deflecting Peer Pressure:  Bully Proofing & Social Survival Skills.   How can parents teach their children to "be friendly", solve peer problems creatively, defuse destructive teasing that is often a precursor to violence, and engage in the "subtle art of saying no" so dangerous peer pressure situations and high-risk behaviors can be avoided. Stephanie Meegan will offer realistic, age-appropriate advice and opportunities to practice new skills during this evening presentation.  Presented by Stephanie Meegan.

October 23-31, 2008  Red Ribbon Week at Masco  The Tri-Town Council student board put up posters and make red ribbons to distribute to fellow students in order to help promote the awareness Red Ribbon Week. The symbol of the Red Ribbon is a way for people & communities to unite & take a visible stand against drugs and to show their personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.

October 29, 2008  Secrets to Your Success in Parenting Teens.   Do you feel as though you are on an emotional rollercoaster?  Often parents of teenagers feel the ups and downs of this stage as much as their teens do.  During this program, Ms. Blaney will examine what it is that makes this a challenging time for parents, and identify specific activities and approaches you can use to smooth out your ride. March 17, 2008  KEEPING TEENS SAFER ON THE ROAD: What every parent, teen driver, and passenger needs to know! An important discussion on safe driving behaviors, teen attitudes towards driving, everyday risks faced by all drivers, particularly teens, and new MA state laws and insurance regulations effecting all households.  The forum will include presentations by Dan Strollo, In Control Advanced Driver Training and State Representative Brad Hill, among others.

Presentation on how parents/guardians can recognize drug /alcohol use; What to do, how and when to get help. Also, information on promoting healthy family lifestyles and addressing key elements necessary to keep kids & teens on track.

October 19, 2006  NetSmartz  Presentation on keeping kids and teens safer on the internet  NetSmartz provides on- and offline learning activities for parents to facilitate discussions with their children and teens about Internet safety.
