All-Night Graduation Party

Dear Parents/Guardians and Masconomet Seniors,

The ALL-NIGHT PARTY, a 50 year tradition for Masconomet graduating seniors, will be held on May 31st, 2019 immediately following graduation ceremonies (see reverse side of this page for details). During this event the seniors will be transported to secret locations for an evening of fun, food and entertainment. Historically, most (90%) of the Senior Class participate in this year-end tradition, which is special because it is the last time the seniors will come together as the Class of 2019!

In order for your senior to attend, you and your graduating Senior need to complete and sign the enclosed Authorization & Waiver and return with a check for $95*, payable & mailed to Tri-Town Council, 7 Grove St, Topsfield, MA 01983 by April 26th. Please register early! A late fee may apply for late registrations.

Also enclosed (in the mailing) are three raffle tickets for your chance to win four ‘Premium’ Graduation Seats. The seats are reserved for the winner and located close to the graduates. For your chance to win, please mail the completed raffle ticket(s) along with payment ($10 each or 3 for $25) along with your waiver form. You may purchase raffle tickets separately from the All-Night Party registration. Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will support three Tri-Town Council Scholarships for graduating seniors!!

ALL-NIGHT GRADUATION PARTY EVENING INFORMATION

DATE: May 31st , 9:30 PM to June 1st , 6:45 AM

TIME: Check-in begins following graduation and photos, approximately 9:30 PM

Parents: Please emphasize the need to check- in as soon as ceremony is over & your photos are taken.

LOCATION: Check-in will take place in the Masco small cafeteria. All student Authorization & Waiver forms must be signed and submitted and the $95 admission fee paid to attend the party. After check-in and a snack, seniors will board buses and be taken to various locations for an evening of fun. Exact locations for the party are always a secret! The event is chaperoned by many adults including parents of juniors, TTC staff, and local police officers.

RETURN TIME: Buses will return to Masconomet High School at approximately 6:45 AM on the morning of June 1st, 2019. Pick up for the graduates is between 6:45 AM and 7:00 AM on the high school side/link doors (by the cafeteria). Transportation will be available to bring seniors home if a parent or other rested adult is not available. For safety reasons, no senior will be allowed to drive themselves home (no student vehicles will be allowed to be left in the parking lot overnight). All graduates must have parent/adult pick up arranged for Saturday morning.

DRESS: Graduates should change after graduation into casual clothes and bring a light jacket/sweatshirt appropriate to the night air, wear sneakers/rubber soled shoes for activities and any necessary personal belongings. We will remind them about what they need during Senior Week. After check-in, bags will be left in the small cafeteria where they will be searched for any illegal or inappropriate substances. Spending money is not necessary. Please emphasize the need to pack lightly!! All items are the responsibility of the graduates, including clothing and electronics. Seniors will need to keep track of personal belongings. TTC cannot be responsible for lost/left items though we do inspect all areas, including buses, throughout the event. Remember to collect your senior’s cap/gown/diploma/car keys before they check in!

FOOD AND BEVERAGES: Plenty of food and beverages will be provided throughout the night. GRADUATES MAY NOT BRING ANY BEVERAGE (including sealed) CONTAINERS ON THE BUSES OR IN THEIR BACKPACKS UNLESS PREAUTHORIZED BY TTC. ** Please include any dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. on Authorization & Waiver Form.**

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING: Because safety is one of the main goals of the graduation party, graduates will not be allowed to drive during the night or morning after the party. PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST PICK UP GRADUATES ON SATURDAY MORNING. THERE WILL BE NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ALLOWED AT MASCO ON GRADUATION NIGHT!

ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, VAPE PRODUCTS AND OTHER DRUGS: The All-Night Graduation Party is alcohol, tobacco/nicotine (includes e-cigs and cigars) and chemical free. Any alcohol or other drugs including cigarettes and other tobacco or nicotine products will be confiscated. Offending parties may be sent home and subject to local police involvement.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE: Any student who requires prescription medicine during the party must include this information on the Authorization & Waiver form. Some prescriptions may need to be held by TTC. We will determine if the student or TTC will hold the prescription for the duration of the event once the forms are submitted.
