GET OUTSIDE AND EXPLORE
Autumn is a time of intense insect activity. Butterflies and moths are going through various stages of metamorphosis, dragonflies are eating the remaining mosquitoes, and smaller beetles and ground insects are making final preparations for winter. Each week we get to know a specific group of bugs a little better by using nets and boxes to capture them, and through games and activities. As always, we will also allow time for open exploration in the woods and fields around the school. Programs will occur outside in all but the worst weather. Please dress your child appropriately. Taught by Andrew Prazar of North Shore Nature Programs.
FRIDAYS: October 4, 11, 18, 25
