Congratulations to the three Tri-Town Council Youth Scholarship award recipients from the Class of 2025: Topsfield’s Alice Beringer, Middleton’s Shrreya Narayanakumar, and Boxford’s Charlie Posanka.
Award recipients have been involved with TCC programs that foster healthy community in various ways—such as clubs, community service, and teaching/mentoring other youth through science, music, and academic support.
Funded annually via the premium graduation seating and parking raffle for senior families and administered through the Masconomet Regional Scholarship Foundation, one graduate from Boxford, Middleton, and Topsfield each receive a $500 scholarship.

Alice Beringer was a dedicated tutor in TTC’s peer tutoring program for four years. In this program, high school tutors—trained by TTC staff and professional partners—meet regularly over Zoom with Tri-Town youth to provide instruction, support, and encouragement. Alice enjoyed this work so much that, with help from TTC, she eventually became a certified tutor.
Alice said “I’m so grateful for the many skills in connection and communication that this experience has taught me, and I know that these skills will be valuable in the years to come!” She added her thanks beyond her own development, too, saying “TTC does such great things for our community and I really appreciate it.”
Alice is heading to Bowdoin College in the fall and is planning to major in Biology.

Shrreya Narayanakumar was an active TTC YAAB (Youth Action Advisory Board) member, a Camp Invention leader, a TTC tutor, and she helped develop and teach a new program called Journey through the Body, presented to elementary-age youth.
Shrreya said “I have most enjoyed the people I met and worked with during the TTC programs — from young kids at Camp Invention, to middle schoolers I tutored, to high schoolers I helped solve problems with, and to adults in the programs from whom I sought guidance.”
Shrreya is planning to study neuroscience on the pre-med track at the University of Pittsburgh.

Charlie Posanka was a committed Tri-Town Inclusive Rock Band member, serving as a mentor and partner for members with disabilities. The high-energy, multi-instrument band performs positive and uplifting musical shows for various audiences and community events.
Charlie said “One thing I’ve learned from working with the Tri-Town Rock Band is that everyone deserves a shot. The Tri-Town Rock Band is a band for kids with special needs, and most of them don’t have the same musical opportunities as most other kids. It meant a lot to be a part of their ‘shot.’”
Charlie is heading to University of Massachusetts - Lowell to study Music Education. He said his experience with the Tri-Town Rock Band really influenced his decision to go into this field. “I found my enjoyment in helping and teaching others,” he said.
Congratulations to these scholarship recipients! We are grateful for your involvement with TTC and our Tri-Town Community, and we wish you all the best as you embark on your next chapters!
