Dear Tri-Town Community,
This month I officially stepped into the role of Executive Director of Tri-Town Council. I truly feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of TTC. It is a privilege to work with an organization whose staff and stakeholders genuinely want to support and empower youth, families, and the communities of Boxford, Topsfield, and Middleton.
In my short time with TTC, I’ve had the opportunity to see many of our programs in action including the Coalition’s Screenagers: Under the Influence event, the Masco Investment Class (I wish I could take this class!!), the Youth Action Advisory Board (YAAB), monthly Coalition meetings, Board of Directors meetings and Youth Mental Health First Aid Training. Everyone— from students and youth, to the school administrators and community members involved in these various programs and groups—prove to have a deep commitment to youth development, mental wellness, and community connection.
I look forward to building on the strong foundation that has been laid by Meredith, the staff, and partners who have brought TTC’s mission to life over the years. A goal of mine is to bring awareness to all of TTC’s programs. As a parent of young children in the Tri-Town community, it is so important to me that the community TTC serves is clear on all the programs and offerings TTC has available to our youth in grades K-12. For example, TTC offers the Horizons programs, Bradford Ski Club, mentoring, babysitter training, PhotoVoice, investment class, Camp Invention, open gyms, 7th grade welcome event, and the All-Night Grad Party… just to name a few!
I am also excited to work on parent/caregiver programming for the upcoming school year and bring speakers to the Tri-Town to discuss and teach us about screen-time management, social media, and smartphone usage amongst youth.
As I move forward, I’m eager to listen, learn, and collaborate with you to continue fostering resilient youth and vibrant, connected communities.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I would love to hear your thoughts, stories, and hopes for the future of our Tri-Town community. Let’s continue this important work together.
Sincerely,
Lindsay
